Which Halfway to Paradise Heroes Can You Back in The Bahamas?

Poker is a game about heroes. Some of the game’s biggest stars have worked for many years and become elite professionals. Other superstars come from nowhere to make magical memories on screen that last forever. Players who ‘take their shot’, the outsiders with a chance at unexpected glory, will always inspire others to take a chance themselves. This December, you can do just that, without leaving the comfort of your own home.
This winter, PokerStake players are taking part in the ‘Halfway to Paradise’ promotion where PokerStake promise to buy up to 50% of your unsold action in the $25,000-entry Super Main Event. In 2025, the top prize in this event was worth $6 million to the winner, Chinese player Yinan Zhou.
Let’s take a look at five players who are selling their action to this special event in The Bahamas and why each of them is a good investment opportunity for you as poker fans.
Grab a Piece of Jason Graeb
Jason Graeb is a player who over the last few years has really come into his own. First cashing in 2014, Graeb won his debut ranking event four years later when he took down the $1,000-entry WSOP Circuit Survivor event for a three-way dealt top prize of $10,000 in Los Angeles.
Stepping away from live ranking poker events for a few years, Jason’s return to the poker felt has been very impressive. A total of seven cashes in WSOP Online events in 2024 landed Jason over $20,000 in cashes and saw him reach two WSOP final tables in a matter of days in the $500 Big 500 event and $215 NLHE Turbo 6-Max event, finishing 4th and 5th respectively.
With a recent 27th-place finish in the WSOP Circuit Nevada stop’s Mini Main Event, Jason is a player to watch and – just like all of our Halfway to Paradise players as per the rules – is selling action to his Super Main Event at no markup at all.
Wasnock Walks Back into Big Time
John Wasnock comes into this year’s WSOP Paradise festival as one of the highest profile players in recent World Series history. Coming second to Michael Mizrachi in this summer’s WSOP Main Event, Wasnock’s wonderful run in the World Championship saw him cash for a cool $6 million as runner-up in the biggest poker tournament on Earth.

In The Bahamas, John will be hoping to go one better, as winning the WSOP Paradise Main Event would prove. Could you buy a slice of his action this time round and bank profit yourself? John’s recent results hint at a player in the form of his poker career, with an impressive 10 cashes since his heroics inside the Thunderdome at the Horseshoe Las Vegas.
With results on the North American Poker Tour, where another runner-up result earned john $40,000 in the High Roller Second Chance event, could John win his third ranking event at Atlantis Resort? We don’t see why not, with both of his tournament wins coming in 2025, first in the recurring Little Creek tournament in Shelton and also in the Spring Poker Round-Up in Pendleton.
John Wasnock knows no fear at the felt.
Could Khan be King?
Canadian player Michael Khan is another of our Halfway to Paradise heroes. The reigning WSOP-C Montreal champion only won his way into the promotion on Tuesday of last week, taking down the $1,000 Mystery Bounty event for a top prize of $25,541 and bounties.
Michael is a very solid player in tournaments, Mr. Consistency at the felt and therefore a terrific bet for profit. Cashing an astonishing 25 times in 2025, Michael has travelled the world in doing so, cashing for over $64,000 across three live events at the Irish Poker Open in Dublin in April before running deep in the WSOP Mystery Bounty event.
He’s bound to be a real danger in the Super Main Event and his bounty event exploits mean Michael Khan is likely to be going for glory if he runs deep, never settling for anything less.
Setera Set Up for Success
Mike Setera is one of PokerStake’s better known players, playing in many live events over the years. Cashing a dozen times since the start of the 2025 WSOP alone, Mike won the WSOP Circuit event in Los Angeles in May for a top score of over $51,000, beating Or Nezer heads-up after outlasting names such as Matthew Lambrecht, David Gonzalez and Melanie Topp in the final three tables.

Cashing several times in the summer in Las Vegas, Mike’s fifth-place place in The Wynn Summer Classic at the Wynn Las Vegas saw him bank $13,751 in an event also populated by Dylan Wilkerson, Josh Matti and the eventual winner Americ Stiller, who topped 447 entries for $44,303 up top.
Mike’s ability in tournament poker is known to everyone who follows the circuit and there’s no doubt that he can be a threat in the Super Main Event when he plays what is going to be the biggest buy-in event of his career so far.
Yoseph Yehudai Plays his ‘Yolo’ Card
Yoseph Yehudai has enjoyed plenty of success in live poker too and has won a total of $157,354 in his fledgling poker career to date. The pick of those prizes was the $45,650 he won on the World Poker Tour in their $600 NLHE Lucky Hearts Poker Open event, where he came eighth behind the eventual champion Farrid Jattin. In that event, the Colombian winner took home over $306,000 but Yoseph’s finish was excellent, especially given the high standard of players and the total of 4,960 entries.
This time of year could bode well for Yoseph, who finished 34th in last year’s $3,500-entry Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open in Seminole back in late November. Cashing for $23,000, Yoseph’s run may have fallen just short of the ultimate glory – and a top prize of $662,200 won by Dylan Smith – but the result and another deep run in a field of 1,435 will bolster the passionate Brooklyn-born poker player.
Whoever you back at this year’s WSOP Paradise festival in the Halfway to Paradise promotion, we can’t wait for the action to begin.
