Heading into Wednesday’s World Series of Poker Online event, Ireland’s Toby Joyce had cashed in 11 previous WSOP events this year but had only found himself anywhere near a final table once. That was in Event #35 ($5,000 PLO Championship) back on July 21 when he finished 13th.

Tomas Fara struck gold on Saturday when he won the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe €1,100 Turbo Bounty Hunter event. Fara topped the field of 377 entries at WSOP Europe to score a first-place prize of €59,904 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.

The 2019 PokerStars EPT Open Sochi Main Event crowned a winner on Sunday as China’s Yi Ye defeated the field of 879 runners at Casino Sochi to take home his first EPT title and the RUB19,306,000 ($301,378) first-place prize.
