PokerStake’s David Coleman is the 2025 Poker Masters Champion!

PokerStake player David Coleman rounded off a superb 2025 Poker Masters series by winning the overall leaderboard last night in Las Vegas, as a thrilling finale decided the drama. The 10th and final event saw another PokerStake player, Brandon Wilson, crowned the event winner for $464,000 as he bagged the biggest top prize of the series, but it was David Coleman who took the overall leaderboard championship.
Coleman and Lee Racing for Glory
The final table of the last event of the 2025 PGT Poker Masters began with two of the seven players still in with a chance of glory. While Alex Foxen led the way over the first nine events, the former Global Poker Index world number one was nowhere to be seen when the final table of seven assembled in the $25,000-entry No Limit Hold’em event that was effectively the Poker Masters Main Event.
With seven left, only Doug Lee or David Coleman could overtake Foxen and become the champion, but in order to do so, Lee would need to finish second and David Coleman, one of PokerStake’s finest, would need even more to go his way. He could finish third to win it but would have to rely on Doug Lee and his fellow PokerStake player David Chen both failing to win the event.
Initially, the action went David Coleman’s way, as his PokerStake teammate David Chen crashed out in seventh place, his pair of eights no good against the turned pair of jacks for Coleman himself. That, of course, put Foxen – now in the clubhouse – in greater control, as only Coleman and Lee could stop him winning the title from the 19th hole as it were. Coleman, however, was on a tear and a crucial hand saw him move all-in on a flop of

Schulman Shaken Out
With five players left, Nick Schulman bid his fellow players farewell, cashing for $118,100 after he called all-in with jack-seven after pairing his jack on the flop. Doug Lee had flopped a set of fives, however, and that took out the American eight-time WSOP bracelet winner.
Soon, Dylan Linde went the same way, heading to the rail for $157,400 in fourth place when his pocket threes couldn’t hold against the ace-jack of David Coleman, as the PokerStake player moved second in chips ahead of Doug Lee. The Canadian desperately needed to improve his lot, but he couldn’t do so, his king-nine unable to beat Wilson’s ace-seven and pronouncing David the 2025 Poker Masters champion!
With that exit, Lee cashed for $220,500 but just missed out on the title as David’s strong performance across 10 events, cashing three times, including two heads-up battles, was enough for him to take the Purple Jacket. Soon, the two remaining players did a deal to even up the payouts for 1st and 2nd place, with the two PokerStake players guaranteeing themselves $355,000 and $395,000 respectively, with Coleman guaranteed the lower amount due to the chip stacks at the time of the deal.

Coleman Crowned as Wilson Wins Event
Both David Coleman and Brandon Wilson received trophies, as after Brandon’s two pair outdid David’s top pair in the final hand to mean that Brandon won the $464,000 top prize and received the Purple Jacket trophy.
“Yeah, I’m really happy to add that one to the shelf,” Brandon told us after the event.
For David, it was the Purple Jacket itself, the prize for the overall Poker Masters Championship, won by so many greats and adding another to their ranks in 2025. Finishing second in the final event, David leapfrogged Alex Foxen into top spot at the last, winning the jacket and the $25,000 PGT Passport.
Having already won the opening event for $270,000, Coleman followed that up with an 11th place worth $32,700 in Event #6, which was won by Foxen. Then, it was all about that ‘Main Event’, where David’s runner-up result meant he not only became the latest winner of the prestigious PGT Poker Masters title but won $657,000 across three cashes too.
