PGT Kickoff Round-Up: Big Results for Brandon Wilson and David Coleman
PGT Kickoff Round-Up: Big Results for Brandon Wilson and David Coleman

The first event series of the 2026 PokerGO Tour is in the books and PokerStake players were among the many big winners. Of the six PGT Kickoff events, three of them turned out to be among the four biggest $5,000-entry events in PokerGO history, with six different winners celebrating lifting the trophy in the six events.

Coleman and Wilson Both Win Big in Event #3

Andrew Moreno
Andrew Moreno performed brilliantly in the 2026 PGT Kickoff series.

In the third event of the 2026 PGT Kickoff series, there were 159 entries as the second largest field for a $5,000 entry tournament in PGT history played out in Las Vegas. It was the PokerStake player Justin Saliba who bubbled the event, just missing out on the money places before legends of the game such as PokerStake’s Chino Rheem (16th for $11,925) and Erik Seidel (8th for $31,800) both finished with profit but outside the final table.

Another PokerStake busted soon after the seven-handed final table was formed, with Stephen Song departing in seventh place for $31,800 before Jared Jaffee (6th for $39,750) and Song’s PokerStake stablemate Brandon Wilson left in fifth place for $47,700. Brazilian Joao Simao busted in fourth place for $59,625 before PGT regular and PokerStake crusher David Coleman went in third for $79,500.

Heads-up, Andrew Moreno got the better of Jim Collopy after a deal was agreed, with both men taking home over $135k. With $26,000 on the line, Moreno took home the PGT Gold Cup and $162,300 while Jim Collopy banked $135,775. Moreno’s victory saw him boost his career earnings to $2.67m in PGT events alone, with his The Hendon Mob total of $6.29 million on the rise.

Taylor Paur Wins Debut PGT Title as Foxen Finds the Money

In Event #4, the last $5,000-entry event of the series, 145 total entries once again swelled the field and bumped the prizepool up to eye-watering levels. Justin Saliba survived the money bubble this time, coming 18th for a result worth $10,875, a cash improved on slightly by the Canadian PokerStake seller Kristen Foxen, who ended her event in 14th for $14,500.

David Coleman cashed for $21,750 in ninth place before the final seven took their seats, whereupon Justin Zaki lost the last of his chips, going from being a previous chip leader to out in seventh for $29,000. Scott Eskenazi (6th for $36,250) and Paul Roy (5th for $43,500) were busted too, before Jeremy ‘JBex’ Becker left in fourth for $58,000.

Three-handed, Andrew Moreno very nearly went back-to-back, falling two places short of that honor by winning $76,125 in third before Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau pushed for the win. He was disappointed in his quest, however, as Taylor Paur won the final duel, claiming his first-ever PGT win and a top prize of $174,000, with Yau receiving $105,125 as runner-up.

Michael Berk Wins as Brock Wilson Goes Close

Michael Berk
Michael Berk won a debut PGT Gold Cup after beating a stacked field in Event #5.

Event #5 saw yet another first-time winner crowned, as Michael Berk won his first PokerGO Tour title as well as a $262,650 top prize. With a strong performance from PokerStake’s own David ‘ODB’ Baker to finish 12th for $25,750, the man who told us all about how to approach markup on PokerStake showed us again exactly why he’s great value at any price.

Andrew Lichtenberger took out PokerStake’s Kristen Foxen in seventh place for $41,200 after his set of fours on the flop got the better of the queen of poker’s ace-king. ‘Chewy’ busted next with pocket queens as the eventual winner Berk was fortunate to overtake the leading player with ace-queen.

After Neil Warren (5th for $66,9650) and Clemen Deng (4th for $92,700) cashed, another PokerStake player posted a very strong score. Brock Wilson has enjoyed several years of very impressive results in high roller events and made it to third place, busting for a score of $118,450. Berk seemed unstoppable, going into the final duel against Daniel with a 4:1 chip lead but Maor doubled up, then took the lead before Berk fought back and win it all over again, taking the lead before pocket threes sealed the deal and a top prize of $262,650, with Maor falling for slightly less at $169,950.

Wilson Whiffs Win After Yet Another Deep Run

Ariel Mantel
Ariel Mantel took the turbo plaudits after banking a top prize in Event #6.

The Argentinian Ariel Mantel won the turbo PGT Kickoff event which brought the series to a close, with the $10,000-entry Event #6 having 52 entries and a top prize of $171,600. Mantel’s 13th career PGT cash and first-ever win was achieved in one day as the final event played out as a single-day turbo with 20-minute levels.

With a $520,000 prize pool, just the last eight players got paid, with PokerStake’s Brandon Wilson finishing fifth for $41,600 as he ran deep in yet another tournament. With seven cashed for over half a million dollars in the first five weeks of the year, Brandon is laying down a marker for other high rollers and is someone to invest in whenever he plays.

Andrew Lichtenberger cashed in fourth for $52,000 and enough PGT Points to top the early leaderboard, while Dan ‘Cowboy’ Smith busted in third place for $72,800. Heads-up, Clemen Deng began play with a clear lead, but Mantel fought back to deny an all-American winners roster in the PGT Kickoff series, the Argentine player scoring $171,600 as Deng was forced to accept $109,200 as runner-up.
