David Coleman Wins First WSOP Bracelet in Triton Triumph for $3.1 million

The PokerStake player David Coleman won his first-ever WSOP bracelet last night as the $125,000-entry WSOP Paradise Event #8, in partnership with the Triton Poker Series, saw him scoop over $3 million up top. At a final table featuring players such as Martin Kabrhel, Bryn Kenney and David’s fellow PokerStake player Brandon Wilson, it was finally David’s day as he won gold on the WSOP for the first time.

We caught up with the latest WSOPP bracelet winner to congratulate him on his success.

Kenney Extends All-Time Lead Over Chidwick

Both Bryn Kenney and Stephen Chidwick made the 17 money places in Event #8 of the 2025 WSOP Paradise. While Kenney cashed for $913,000 in fifth place, however, Chidwick scraped into 17th place for $194,000. While that widens the gap between the two men at the top of The Hendon Mob’s All-Time Money List, banking six figures in the money could yet be important for the British hopeful in his pursuit of the Long Island poker legend.

By the time Kenney exited in fifth place, so too had PokerStake seller Chris Hunichen. ‘Big Huni’ banked an impressive $223,000, $19,000 more than another of his fellow PokerStake players, Kristen Foxen, who was eliminated in 14th place for $204,000. Poker Hall of Famer Patrik Antonius reached eighth, busting for $415,000 before the final table of seven was formed.

Canadian player Daniel Dvoress lost his seat in seventh for $551,000 before Thailand’s Punnat Punsri departed in sixth for $720,000. Bryn Kenney’s exit in fifth place guaranteed that all of the remaining four players were all assured of a million-plus result, with top prize being $1,113,000.

Coleman Does the Business

Down to four players, David Coleman was the beneficiary of an absolute cooler. Up against Brandon Wilson’s queen-jack, David had the best of it with pocket kings. The flop was an incredible one, coming K-Q-Q to give Wilson trips and David a full house of kings over queens. All the money went in on the river, leaving Wilson on the outside looking in for a score of $1,132,000.

Martin Kabrhel has enjoyed some spectacular results recently, including a sojourn to South America where he won a Brazilian Series of Poker title, earning his first live cash and title in the country. The Czech Republic player was left thinking ‘Not like that!’ when he busted in third place for $1,367,000. All-in with king-jack, he had the same hand as David Coleman, but the Lithuanian Dominykas Mikolaitis held ace-king and dominated the Czech player to defeat.

Heads-up, David had a slim lead with 10,475,000 chips to Mikolaitis’ 9,325,000 stack. Very quickly, David had all the chips. On a board of Q-T-6-7-4, Mikolaitis called off his stack with ten-eight after David had shoved with queen-seven. With that, the title of World Series of Poker bracelet winner belonged to David Coleman, as well as a career-high result of over $3 million.

The Canadian All-Time Money List leader was out of luck in several all-in situations but is firing hard as he bids to win an eighth WSOP bracelet.

With other poker legends such as Michael Mizrachi, Kristen Foxen, Alex Livingston and Jonathan Little all in action, the chances of another PokerStake winner are high, so you should head to the official staking page and invest in one of your poker heroes today.
