Chino Rheem Retains PGT PLO Series as Consistency Wins the Day

The PokerStake player David ‘Chino’ Rheem has won the latest PokerGO Tour series after four cashes in the eight PGT PLO Series events to take place in March. The tournament superstar cashed for $136,555 across the series, which was held at the Venetian in Las Vegas rather than the PokerGO Studio at ARIA on the Las Vegas Strip.
Furth Can’t Finish First
If one of Chino’s fellow competitors can feel slightly unlucky, it is the man who won more than most during the 2026 PGT PLO Series, David Furth. Conquering Event #1 for $150,000, Furth even outscored Chino’s winnings during the series. The PGT PLO rules state quite clearly, however, that for any player to win the overall series, they must cash in a minimum of two events Furth only cashed in the opening event he won and therefore was unable to lift the title as a result.
Another close challenger was Jeremy Druckman. No-one won more than the American across the 2026 PGT PLO Series, as he banked $209,400, banking an even bigger amount than Furth. Druckman’s points, however, did not reach Chino’s total, only accumulating 223 compared to the champion haul of 281 points.
Also present on the PGT PLO Series top ten leaderboard were John Riordan (5th for $94,695 in total winnings), Michael Wang (6th for $101,850), Jeremy Ausmus (7th for $89,190) and Sam Soverel, with the PokerGO favorite finishing in ninth place after cashing for an impressive total of $117,600.
Here’s how the final top 10 ended up at The Venetian as the PGT PLO series handed out millions of dollars in prizes.

How Chino Charged to Glory
Chino’s race was not won over one sprint, as he won none of the events he took part in. His consistency was key, however, as he cashed in four of the eight events. In Event #1, he came closest to victory, losing only when heads-up to the aforementioned David Furth. That $3,300 Pot Limit Omaha Main Event earned Chino $100,000, by far his biggest result of the series.
In Event #2, Chino finished in eighth place for $10,800, before he finished fourth in Event #3 for a regular prize of $15,435 and another $16,000 in bounties. In Event #4, Chino endured his first brick of the series, failing to score but he cashed for the fourth time in five events when he came fifth in Event #5 for $10,320.
Despite three blanks in Events #6, #7, and #8, Chino ended the PGT PLO series with 281 PGT points, enough to earn him the ultimate victory and the prestigious PokerGO Cup to add to the many others on his mantle. In sealing victory, Chino became the only player ever to win four PokerGO Tour series, with his previous triumphs in the PGT Mixed Games series of 2023 and 2025, along with his PGT PLO Series win in 2025 meaning he retained his title in 2026.

Who Won the Other PGT PLO Series Events?
With eight events in total, there were eight different event winners too, proving just how hard the mixed games really are to master. In this case, of course, it was solely Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) events that took place, and after Bruno Furth took down the $3,300-entry opening event, seven other stars of the purple felt reigned in Las Vegas.
In Event #2, costing $5,100, Sam Soverel took home $89,100 after outlasting 53 other entrants. Jeremy Ausmus took home the top prize of $51,450 in Event #3, before Jordan Glazer won Event #4 for $84,000. Michael Wang’s victory in the $5,100 Mystery Bounty event for $45,150 was followed by the only event other than Event #1 to have a different buy-in.
Event #6 was the big one, with Jeremy Druckman’s win in the PLO Championship earning him $182,400 courtesy of the $10,000 entry fee applied to all entrants. That also meant his points weren’t sufficient to pass Chino’s total, and different winners in Event #7 (Aaron Mermelstein for $42,000) and Event #8 (Qinghai Pan for $51,300) mean Chino’s reign at the top of the PGT PLO Series was assured for another year.
Here are all the winners from a hugely successful PGT PLO Series in Las Vegas.
